About

Celebrating 50 Years in Business!

Prior to owning the tractor business, Ray and Phyllis Creel owned and operated Naples Tomato Farms from 1962 until 1972. The farm was located at the corner of Pine Ridge and Airport road in Naples, FL. In 1972 Ray and Phyllis sold the tomato farm and purchased a small Ford tractor dealership in Fort Myers, FL. They named the business Creel Ford Tractor Company.

Creel started to expand into many other equipment lines. Ray Creel saw the expanding S.W. Florida construction and housing market and began carrying machinery that would meet the needs of local contractors. In an effort to meet the market needs in 1980 Creel Tractor acquired the Bush Hog line, in the mowing and tilling industry. The Bush Hog company was very focused on mowing and tilling equipment. Bush Hog would, in turn, become one of the leaders in the industry of mowing and tilling equipment.

In 1991, Ray passed away and his son Mark Creel took over the business. Mark was one of the youngest dealers in the tractor industry in the U.S. Having been around farming and tractors all of his life the business was well suited for his background. In 1999 New Holland Tractor Company bought out the Ford tractor side of their operations, and the name was changed to Creel Tractor Company.

2001 marked a great expansion by the business by adding a new tractor line, Kubota. This new product line nearly doubled the sales and other aspects of the business by 2005. ASV Inc. was also added in 2003 which initiated their entry into a new market of rubber track loaders, an explosive market in the south. This company provided products that are used for everything from construction clean up and site preparation for houses, to golf course and landscape maintenance. 2009 Terrain King was added to the line up to complement the existing Alamo Boom Mower Line. Creel has a great employee base to try and keep up with the potential growth within their industry. If you add up all the employee experience within the industry at Creel Tractor Company it would total well over 200 years.
